Maynooth: from €310,000The final houses in phase two of Newtown Hall, Maynooth, cost from €310,000 for two-bedroom townhouses.
The 240-unit scheme is beside St Patrick's College and runs parallel with the Royal Canal.
Ninety house have been sold to date. The majority have gone to first-time buyers from the area, who commute to work in Dublin, according to Eamon OFlaherty of Property Partners Brady.
For them a big selling point of the scheme was the fact that it is in walking distance of the rail station which has over 30 trains operating a daily service to Connolly Station.
Twenty homes are for sale and all are ready for immediate occupation.
The 82sq m (883sq ft) two-bedroom town houses cost from €310,000. This represents a reduction of €40,000 on 2007 prices.
The three-bedroom end-of-terrace homes with 96sq m (1,033sq ft) cost from €360,000 - also €50,000 down on last year.
Selling agent Property Partners Brady will be taking bookings at a showhouse on the site next weekend.
The scheme is being built by Springwood Estates and will comprise 240 homes when complete.
