A performing arts school is part of a proposal for the ambitious redevelopment of a business park in Glenageary, Co Dublin.

Developer Frank Gilmer has submitted a planning application to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council to demolish all of the existing buildings - which include the Deerhunter pub, the Q102 building and Falcon House - and to build a mixed-use development scheme that includes a 30-metre tower.

The seven blocks would incorporate 85 residential units, 17 retail units, restaurants, off-licences, a community hall and a crèche. There will also be a betting office, optician, and a financial services unit with an ATM.

The seven blocks will have two basement levels with a performing arts school, a gallery and exhibition space, a gym and 397 car-parking spaces.

Another large-scale development is proposed for Skerries by Winsac Ltd which is seeking planning permission from Fingal County Council to build 544 residential units at Barnageeragh in Skerries in Co Dublin.

The site is near Kelly's Bay residential scheme. Winsac Ltd, whose directors are Bernard Carroll and Malachy Clarke, is proposing a mix of apartment and duplex units laid out in 14 three-storey blocks.

The plan is also for an urban centre with a civic plaza, seven office suites, retail units, a restaurant, off-licence, community centre, gym and medical centre.

The developer is looking for 962 car-parking spaces, of which 573 would be underground. There would also be a crèche, reserved school site, landscaped open space and a children's playground.

Also in Fingal County Council's area, Manor Park Homebuilders is looking to build 355 residential units, a local centre and crèche at Cappagh Road in Finglas, Dublin 11.

This would comprise a mix of 259 terraced and semi-detached houses, duplexes and standard apartments.

A local centre with offices and shops and a crèche would be located in the southern corner of the site.

There would also be 486 surface car-parking spaces.
