Toghar Pairc Roundwood: 15 four-bedroom houses for sale on five-acre site on the road to Lough Dan
House-hunters who like to get away from it all can drive out this weekend to view a new scheme of detached houses in Toghar Pairc, Roundwood, Co Wicklow. A total of 15 very large four-bedroom houses are being built on a five-acre site, with low densities of three houses to the acre. The developer, Calasbay Limited, is new to the construction scene and the selling agent is RE/ MAX Garden County, part of the Clarke Delahunt team.
The slightly sloping site is 100 yards up from the village on the road to Lough Dan, with views of the reservoir from some upper windows. The first five houses are being released for sale this weekend. All 15 will be ready for occupation by mid-summer.
Houses in the initial phase are priced at £375,000, for 2,200 sq ft of living space. They are designed in a traditional Co Wicklow style, with dormer roof windows and stone corner quoins. The interior includes a large sittingroom with a cast-iron fireplace and pine architraves and skirting.
The kitchen has a dining area, Shaker-style units, chrome extractor fan and a tiled floor. There is a separate utility room. One of the bedrooms is downstairs and has an en suite bathroom. The other three are on the first floor up a carved timber staircase. These have timber floors. One upstairs bedroom is also en suite. The family bathroom on the first floor is particularly luxurious, with a double shower and a Jacuzzi bath. Generous gardens will be landscaped to the front and seeded at the back, with stone-walled boundaries and a paved patio area. Roundwood has a wide range of amenities, including the surrounding mountains and lakes for walking, riding and fishing. The St Kevin's bus service transports commuters to the city - a car journey to town takes about 50 minutes outside rush hour times.
