A new phase is launching this weekend at Latchford, a development of two and three-bedroom houses near Ongar in Dublin 15. Selling agent Douglas Newman Good New Homes will be taking bookings at show units, which will open for viewing this Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
Prices are a big attraction at this scheme, although the traditional brick-faced designs have also proved popular in earlier phases. Two-bedroom mid-terrace houses of 75 sq m (810 sq ft) start at €250,000.
Three-bed mid-terrace townhouses of 95 sq m (1,020 sq ft) cost from €275,000 and three-bedroom end-terrace houses of the same size are from €290,000. Semi-detached houses with three bedrooms and 95 sq m (1,020 sq ft) of living space start at €300,000.
Previous schemes by developer La Vista, which is part of the Lynam Homes group, include Sorrel Park and Limelawn Park in Clonsilla and Riverston in Dublin 7.
Latchford is a few minute's drive from Blanchardstown Shopping Centre and the Institute of Technology and a short walk to Clonsilla train station. Exteriors are pleasantly traditional in style, with brick facades and porches over the front doors. Inside, light is good because of extra-high ceilings and deep windows. An unusual porthole window in the main bedroom is a Lynam Homes signature.
Sittingrooms are furnished with a sandstone fireplace with granite insert and flame-effect gas fire. Fitted kitchens in red oak are also good quality. Decks outside the kitchen / breakfastroom windows are also standard and back and front gardens will be seeded.
Completions in this phase are expected in summer and autumn this year.
