FRENCH INVESTMENTSA DEVELOPMENT of sale-and-leaseback apartments in France's southern Alps is being offered for sale off plans by French developer MGM. The one and two-bedroom apartments are in two developments, one in the Serre Chevalier ski resort near Chantemerle, the other in Montgenevre

. The developer is selling the area as suitable for summer and winter holidays, saying that its southern location makes it sunnier and warmer than northern ski resorts.

They are within reasonable driving distance (one-and-a-half to three hours) of airports at Chambery, Grenoble and Turin in Italy.

One-bed apartments in Chantemerle will cost from €211,000. Two-bedroom apartments in Montgenevre will cost from €230,000, excluding VAT at 19.6 per cent under the sale-and-leaseback scheme.
