A FOURTH hotel is planned for the Naas road in west Dublin Joels Restaurant, near Newlands Cross, has sought planning permission for a 90-bedroom hotel in a three-storey block. Nearby, Bewley's 130-bedroom hotel is already in operation and the Red Cow is due to open a similar sized hotel next Easter. The Holiday Inn Express has also earmarked a site for a 150-bedroom economy-class hotel, which is to be built next year.
Elsewhere in the city, housing developer Dwyer Nolan has been refused permission by An Bord Pleanala to provide 48 townhouses and apartments on the site of the former Loredo factory at Dargle Road and St Joseph's Avenue, Dublin 9.
