With the Dublin docklands now attracting so much attention from investors, developers and estate agents, Hamilton Osborne King has set up a new service to look after its clients. The agency's "one-stop shop" will also advise existing landowners and residents on development and investment opportunities in the area. The agency says that with 200 acres immediately developable, companies will have an opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects costing from £1 million to £100 million. Landowners will be able to release further land for development by way of sale or joint venture. Banks, institutions and private investors will be able to fund tax based and non tax-based projects. There would be a need for retail, leisure, hotels and tourist facilities to cater for 50,000 people who will either live or work in the area.
Stephen Cassidy, formerly of HOK and more recently responsible for acquiring many of the sites for fast-food chain McDonalds, has returned to the agency as project leader for the docklands. The other members of the team are Liam Lenehan and Ian French (investment, development and finance); Larry Brennan (retail); Paul Collins (licences and leisure); Pat Nolan and Ronan O'Driscoll (new homes and apartments); Paul McNeive (industrial); Roland O'Connell (offices); Krystyna Rawicz (building surveying); John Morley (professional services).
