The first Irish Property Show opens tomorrow in the Shelbourne Hall of the RDS in Dublin and runs through the weekend until Sunday evening. There will be displays on all areas of the booming Irish property market, from new residential developments to commercial property investments. A range of properties for sale in Spain and the US is also likely to attract considerable attention.
The show, which is being run in conjunction with The Irish Times, will be open tomorrow between noon and 7 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. The following weekend it moves to the City Hall, Cork, where it will run from Friday, March 31st, to Sunday, April 2nd.
The show will include a wide variety of exhibitions of new and second-hand homes and apartments, as well as information on finance and legal issues, tax incentives, insurance, property management and letting.
The organisers, Anchor Events, have devised an interesting programme to ensure that it will have a broad appeal among people interested in property.
One of the stands, Designed for Living, shows the importance of good design in buildings. It is being staged in Dublin and Cork by the Royal Institution of the Architects of Ireland. In another novel exhibition, the first Irish Website to sell extra-terrestrial real estate will be launched in aid of the Simon Community. Visitors to the show will be offered the opportunity to buy property on Mars for as little as £10 per 100 acres to help the homeless.
