AT LAST A successful auction to report. It happened last Friday in the Co Wexford where a farmhouse on 42.5 acres near Gorey sold for €1.06 million under the hammer through Quinn Property.
The serendipitously named Moneylawn had been expected to make around €850,000 but, when over 80 people showed up at the auction, the bidding was bound to take off.
Over 40 parties had viewed the handsome original farmhouse which has a number of useful outbuildings. According to the agent, a number of underbidders are now out there looking for similar properties. Good news for the estate agents of rural Wexford.
