Dunloe Ewart is likely to secure in excess of £10 million sterling for an office site close to Belfast City Hall. The 1.2 acre site at 17 Bedford Street has full planning permission for 280,000 sq ft offices in a 12-storey block. It is currently used as a car-park and adjoins the former headquarters of Ewart plc. Colliers Jackson Stops in Belfast, who are selling the property, said there was likely to be interest both from local and UK developers because of its prime city centre location. Dunloe Ewart has sold a number of other sites in the city since paying £23 million for a 16-acre riverside site at the Sirocco Works, opposite the Hilton Hotel and the Waterfront Hall.
