ONE of Dublin's best-known paint and wallpaper shops, Dodds of Mary Street, is expected to make about £500,000 when it is auctioned on October 9th by Harper O'Grady. The premises at 61/62 Mary Street have more than 5,000 square feet of retail space on the ground and first floor and a further 5,000 square feet in offices and storage. Dodds was run by the O'Driscoll family for more than 40 years. Shop values in Mary Street have risen sharply in the run up to the opening of Jervis Street shopping centre on November 1st.
