Sales Results: Sherry FitzGerald fetched a strong price of €5.1 million at auction yesterday for a large colonial-style house, Monterosa on just under half an acre of gardens, at Sorrento Road in Dalkey, Co Dublin.
Two parties chased the property after bidding opened at €4 million - the pre-auction guide price - with 11 bids of €100,000 taking it to the hammer price.
Meanwhile in Dublin 6, Douglas Newman Good withdrew its top property of the week, 15 Grosvenor Road, Rathmines from auction at €6.5 million and is now seeking offers over €7 million for the detached three-storey house on 0.6 acres which had been guided at €5.75 million.
