THE BRIEF for this show apartment at Carrington was to create a fresh, lively look using cutting-edge colours. The developers wanted Carrington to appeal to young buyers so the interior designer chose a colour scheme in lime green, cream and a hint of blue to give the room impact.

The UK-based designer says the French and Italian furniture in the show apartments isn’t available to the general public but there are plenty of Irish furniture stores stocking similar items to create the look.

Homecouture (01-621 5800) has occasional chairs in the same colour, such as the Mona one-seater in lime green which costs €899. For a similar sofa try its Italian handmade two-seater sofa in grey or beige, €1,199.
