DUBLIN Corporation is to sell a swimming pool and adjoining site at Townsend Street, Dublin 2, for a commercial or residential development. The new scheme will have to include a 25-metre long pool with associated facilities such as saunas, jacuzzi and small gymnasium. The site covers an area of 1,600 square metres and the corporation envisages that a commercial or residential development will be provided on top of the swimming pool, with the building line being kept to four storeys along Townsend Street and Luke Street.
Some developers are likely to consider a multi-storey car-park on the site, which is located in a tax designated area.
