Interior Designer Nicola Pollard (086 8565110) wanted to keep the livingroom of the show apartment at Rathborne Village (see page 10) bright and airy and didn't want anything to detract from the view.

The cream and coffee curtains are made from Casamance fabric (around €80 a metre) and tone in with the light woods in the room, such as the wide plank semi solid oak floor, about €50 a sq m. Both can be sourced through Pollard (www.pollardesign.ie). With neutrals predominant in the room she could afford to inject some bold colour in the form of the aubergine chenille Mitro corner sofa from Lomi which costs €5,310.

The dining chairs provide more rich colour. Lomi don't stock the chairs in the picture any more, but has a similar Angie Chair at €505 per chair. The Riva stone and silver wallpaper (€48 a roll) provides depth(from Pollard Design). The sunburst mirror in black and silver from Hicken Lighting cost around €700.
