Conveyancing the ez way

The days of high legal costs in buying a property seem to be numbered

The days of high legal costs in buying a property seem to be numbered. In the past a typical vendor went to his or solicitor to complete contracts and was charged around one per cent of the cost of the property. Recently, though, young solicitors have been moving in to showhouses on new estates pitching for business at a more competitive level. And a new player in the mortgage market , ezhome, is offering the best deal we have seen yet - £575 (E;730) all in, including conveyancing and surveying fees. Interestingly they are also offering maximum mortgages of 92 per cent of the cost, or three times the gross salary of the main income earner plus 1.25 times the salary of a second earner.
