Leading international IT company CMG is leasing 35,000 sq ft of offices at the University Technology Centre in Cork and have taken 10,000 sq ft of offices in the same complex. The group is awaiting the completion of its permanent office space there. CMG is a high technology European group whose operation in Cork is involved in the development of CMG's messaging and gateway solutions for the telecoms industry.
CMG was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle, which negotiated a discount to the current rents of between £12 and £13 per sq ft in the University Technology Centre because of the size of the accommodation involved. The University Technology Centre is a joint venture between O'Flynn Construction and University College Cork. The development consists of four buildings in a low density business park. Hamilton Osborne King and Colliers Jackson-Stops represented the developers.
