Hamilton Osborne King's office in the North has been retained by Arcadia - formerly Burtons Group - to dispose of prime retail leases held in Belfast city centre and outlying shopping centres. Arcadia is engaged in a UK-wide restructuring, which involves shedding hundreds of its high street and shopping centre leases. The units in Belfast include the 7,000 sq ft Principles shop at 62 Donegall Place opposite Belfast City Hall, which is held on a rental of £214,000 per annum. HOK is also offering the 3,000 sq ft Top Man unit in Castle Place, the 4,000 sq ft Evans unit in Donegall Place and units in the Richmond Centre, Derry, two units in the Ards Shopping Centre and a number in Marcus Square, Newry and Bow Street, Lisburn.
In Belfast, Arcadia is consolidating its trading base in Castlecourt Shopping Centre where it has outlets of Evans, Warehouse, Miss Selfridge, Principles, Dorothy Perkins, Top Shop and Racing Green.
