Cork businessman Clayton Love has lodged a planning application to develop a £10 million shopping centre in the Cork suburb of Blackpool. Tesco is understood to be one of the multiples eyeing the anchor store, which will have 65,000 square feet of retail space.
There will also be 20 unit shops and a 500space car-park. A section of the proposed Cork-Mallow road is to run through the site, which originally housed a brewry. The centre will be about 1.5 miles from a Dunnes Stores shopping complex.
