China in your hand: recycling vintage tea cups

Founded by Julie Swan, Forgotten China is a business that recycles vintage china in new ways as jewellery, teacup candles, cake stands and light fittings. It started out two years ago and has grown from a weekly stall at a farmers' market to the point where it now supplies shops across Ireland and one in the US, creates bridal party jewellery and sells online. The china is sourced from charity shops and auction rooms around Ireland, with a particular emphasis on sourcing Irish china where possible. For details see www.forgottenchina.ie
