A formal planning application is to be made shortly for a 51-acre Business and Technology Campus in Gorey, Co Wexford. The local authority has already rezoned the land for the facility which could have an end value of £130 million (>165m) and create up to 2,000 jobs. The Torc Hill Business and Technology Park will also have what the promoters call an "outreach third level educational and training facility" with connections to existing third-level institutions in Dublin and Waterford. There will also be a conference centre, a 120-bedroom hotel to cater mainly for tourists and a mixture of commercial, cultural, retail and leisure facilities.
