WHATEVER problems John Bruton may be having with decommissioning, he should have better luck when he "commissions" Blanchardstown's new shopping centre on April 10th. The Taoiseach is to set the lifts and escalators in motion and oversee the progress in developing the centre, which is to open on October 16th. The latest tenant to agree terms is Next, which will occupy a unit of 5,800 square feet on the upper level at £140,000 per annum. A BHS franchisee is to trade out of a 20,000-square-foot store at £13 per square foot, while the Burton group is also believed to be close to agreement to open five stores for Dorothy Perkins, Principles, Top Shop, Burton Menswear and Evans. In addition to the anchor tenants, terms have been agreed with Connors Chemist, Tommy's Toyworld, Harry Moore, Easons, Fosters, Body Shop and Tylers.
