BLANCHARDSTOWN Town Centre is moving ahead with retail warehousing which is likely to broaden the appeal of the west Dublin complex. Green Properties has pre-let a number of the units and the rents of Pounds 13 to Pounds 17 per square foot are thought to be the highest achieved in the Dublin area.completed around the time of the first anniversary of the opening of the centre in October. Sports Division has taken a unit of 10,000 square feet, making it one of the biggest outlets of its kind in the country. Two other buildings of 5,000 square feet each have been let to Hickey Fabrics and Pet Shop.
Meanwhile the remaining space in the shopping centre has gone to three fashion traders, further strengthening the range of fashion stores in the complex. River Island is understood to be paying a rent of about Pounds 125,000 for a shop of 6,750 square feet; Vero Moda is likely to be paying more than Pounds 150,000 for a 6,000-square-foot outlet opposite the recently opened Boots premises and Oasis is probably paying over Pounds 70,000 for a unit of 2,800 square feet.
