IN ONE of the most unusual sales this year, the Galley Cruising Restaurants based at New Ross, Co Wexford, are to be sold by tender on August 31st. The sale includes two barges, the St Ciaran, which carries 160 passengers, and the St Brendan (120 passengers) which operate pleasure cruises on the Barrow, Nore and Suir rivers. More than 16,000 people a year use the service, which has been run for the past 26 years. The business is expected to make in excess of £300,000.
