The company is already building apartments nearby and is expected to use Auburn for a high-class housing and apartment development. Auburn has been the home for over 60 years of Mrs Guiney and her late husband, Denis, of Clerys department store. Mrs Guiney is in her 98th year and plans to move to a smaller house in the Killester area. Lisney had been quoting a pre-auction guide price of £3 million for the Clontarf house. Also in Dublin, The Wharf Tavern, at East Road, Dublin 3, has been sold at a Morrissey auction for £2,250,000. Meanwhile Toole McKay has secured in excess of £305,000 for a quarter-acre commercial site in the fast-growing Co Meath village of Ratoath.
