AUCTIONEERING JOBS may be a little thin on the ground at the moment but, while sales are slow, lettings are busy.

Accordingly, a weekend certificate course for property managing agents, letting agents and property professionals being organised by the Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers (IPAV) should be well attended.

The short course on March 20th and 21st is aimed at those who are involved in the business as property managing agents, letting agents and property professionals to make them aware of the dramatic changes in law and practice that may have a profound effect on their day-to-day activity.

The areas covered by the course will include: the Residential Tenancies Act; the operation of the Private Residential Tenancies Board (PRTB); taxation issues; commercial lettings; communication and marketing; and new standards in the private rented sector.

The course will be delivered in IPAV’s HQ on Lower Baggot St with members getting three CPD points for attendance.
