A second hotel of about 200 bedrooms is planned for the International Financial Services Centre. The Dublin Docklands Development Authority is today inviting proposals for the design, financing, construction and management of a hotel on part of the 12-acre extension to the IFSC where an additional 600,000 sq ft of offices is already under construction. A number of leading hotel groups, as well as investors, financiers and developers have already expressed an interest in the hotel site overlooking the Liffey. The project will have an end value in excess of £20 million. Bidders can either buy the site outright, or settle for profit sharing with the DDDA.Jurys are already operating their highly successful 234-room in the IFSC. The new hotel will be either a four or a five star hotel.
