An Oige is to sell its large Georgian youth hostel at 1 Pery Square in Limerick city. It is likely to make in excess of £850,000 (€1.195m) when it is sold by tender through agent GVA Donal O Buachalla. The four-storey over basement building has over 4,500 sq ft of floor space including impressive reception rooms at first floor level with original decorative features and fireplaces.

An Oige provided 65 bed spaces and toilet facilities, recreational rooms, kitchen and dining areas in the hostel. There are car-parking spaces in the 25 ft long garden. The building was designed by James Strain and occupies a prominent corner location with dual frontage on to Percy Square and Barrington Street. It overlooks the People's Park.
