A one-acre site with zoning for virtually any commercial, industrial or residential use between the Shankill and Falls areas of west Belfast is being sold by the Department of the Environment with an asking price understood to be around £40,000 sterling. The price reflects the problems that have beset the "peace line" interface over the years. Selling agents Myles Danker point out that while the former Belfast Enterprise Zone land has commercial/industrial zoning, almost any development proposals would be considered by the department.
