The leading housebuilder Ballymore had a major success with its latest scheme in Naas last weekend, selling houses and apartments valued at over £9 million. Despite the poor weather, huge crowds visited the Oak Glade scheme on the outskirts of Naas. On Sunday, long queues formed outside the four showhouses for much of the afternoon when several hundred people visited the site. Agent Colm McEvoy took bookings for 42 houses and six apartments and expects further sales this week. First to sell were the three-bed semis with 1,220 sq ft which sold from £170,000. There are still eight four-bed semis with 1,290 sq ft available priced from £180,000. Three fourbedroom detached homes with 1,850 sq ft are also on the market from £315,000, along with two impressive five-bedroom detached units with 2,275 sq ft and a price tag of £375,000.
The high standard of fit-out in the four house types proved a strong selling point, according to Gerry Whelan of Ballymore.
