Hooke and MacDonald also had a busy weekend selling 60 apartments within a matter of hours for £7 million at City Gate, in Sussex Place, in Belfast. One-bedroom apartments made £77,000 sterling to £85,000 while two-bedroom units went from £105,000 to £125,000. In Dublin, the same agents took bookings for 20 apartments in the proposed De Vesci House scheme on the site of the former Top Hat ballroom at Longford Place, Monkstown. A further 12 units were then released and eight of them were sold. One-bedroom apartments cost from £159,000, two-bedroom units went from £200,000 and three-bedroom homes started at £285,000. A duplex penthouse was sold for £575,000, bringing sales in the scheme to £6 million.

It was much the same story in Celbridge, Co Kildare, when Hooke and MacDonald sold all 24 four and five-bedroom houses for Cosgraves. The final phase of 14 detached houses has now been released for sale at prices from £199,000 for four-bedroom homes and from £229,000 for five-bedroom houses.
