GUNNE is quoting between £400,000 and £500,000 for a development site of 1.3 acres at the junction of the Ballyfermot Road and St Laurence's Road in Chapelizod, Dublin 20, which is to be auctioned on June 6th. The site could accommodate about 30 apartments, according to the agents.
A private client of Lambert Smith Hampton has bought four retail investments in Westport, Carlow, Bray and Dublin for £901,000. The premises were sold in an off-market transaction by way of lease-back arrangements to Benson Shoe Ltd, which trades as Tylers. They will be rented on a 20-year full repairing and insuring lease subject to five-yearly upwards-only rent reviews at a combined rent of £91,000 per annum. Benson Shoe Ltd, executives handled the sale for the company.
Meanwhile, Burger King has opened its first outlet in the west of Ireland. The company outbid several multiples for the premises at 45 O'Connell Street, which has a ground floor area of 3,000 square feet and 2,500 square feet of ancillary accommodation. PA Brannigan and Co acted for Burger King.
