An interesting redevelopment opportunity on an infill commercial and residential site in Maynooth, Co Kildare is to go to tender on November 22nd. Joint agents Hamilton Osborne King and Colm McEvoy expect to secure between £2.75 and £3 million (€3.49m-€3.8m) for the 1.83 acres which are to be sold in one or two lots. The land, which was assembled by a local businessman, has frontage on to Main Street and Leinster Street.
The first lot of almost three-quarters of an acre has full planning permission for nine retail units, a restaurant, gallery and first floor offices as well as seven apartments. The second site of 1.09 acres is located within an area action plan zone and is likely to be used for student housing and ancillary facilities.
