A COMMERCIAL site of 2.35 acres at Main Street and Malahide Road in Swords, north Co Dublin, is expected to make about £1.5 million when it is sold by tender on February 15th by McCormick estate agents.

Most of the site was bought about two years ago for £700,000 by a Northern Ireland developer. He subsequently enlarged the site by buying a two-storey modern house at 5 Malahide Road, which will presumably be demolished. There is planning permission for a 126-bedroom hotel but it may end up with a mixed retail and residential development.
