The Taylor Signs building overlooking the Grand Canal, on Grove Road, is being offered for sale at auction on October 20th as a residential development opportunity by agents DTZ Sherry FitzGerald. The building is close to a number of successful developments around Portobello Dock, Grove Road and Portobello Harbour Road. The agents point out that modern, high-quality apartments in the area are selling well, with prices from £160,000 for a one-bedroom unit to £260,000 for a three-bedroom home. Peter Lynch of DTZ Sherry FitzGerald expects the property to attract considerable interest particularly from developers who might wish to hold back apartments as investments. No guide price is being quoted, although it is expected the property will make over £1.5 million. Taylor Signs is relocating to a larger industrial unit in Bluebell.
