GUIDE prices frequently prove misleading but two Dublin agents took the biscuit last week when they got £1.55 million for Walmer, a villa-style house at Station Road in Raheny, Dublin 5. The pre-auction guide price issued by North and Co and Jackson-Stops and McCabe was a mere £700,000-plus. The house is understood to have been bought by the owners of an adjoining nursing home. The former Regency dower house has a floor area of 4,500 sq ft and has been used as a holistic healing centre since the early 1990s. Its grounds of almost three-quarters of an acre are mainly given over to car-parking.
