A former Victorian warehouse looking on to St Anne's Cathedral in Talbot Street in Belfast's "Cathedral Quarter" has been brought to market by Hamilton Osborne King. The building has 17,000 sq ft of internal space and parking for 15 cars. HOK is quoting £1.35 million sterling for the building. Robert Ditty of HOK said a good deal of property has been changing hands in the area, which is being promoted by Laganside Corporation as Belfast's answer to Temple Bar.
He said development of the area will finally begin in a significant way this year when a Dublin-based company begins work on the Four Corners site at the bottom of Donegall Street. The developer plans a boutique hotel, bar, restaurant and loft apartments. Laganside Corporation is involved in a number of development briefs of the site, which it is planning to develop into a cultural quarter on the north side of the city.
