Pat Kenny will be at the door to take your coat, George Hook will be your waiter, and as you eat your meal, the Cafe Orchestra will be playing. In what sounds like a brilliant idea for a charity fundraiser, Ouzos restaurant in Dalkey will be staffed entirely by celebrities on December 8th.

The evening is in aid of the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice Foundation and other celebrities giving their service include Lisa Murphy, Louis Copeland, Rosanna Davison, Paolo Tullio and DJ Carey. The chefs for the night will be Gerard Kean, who’s shown himself to be no slouch in the kitchen on RTÉ’s The Restaurant and Sarah Newman, who is more used to giving people a grilling on Dragons’ Den. Everyone is donating their time – Ouzos and their suppliers are giving the food and wine – so every penny of the €250 ticket goes to the children’s hospice. To reserve a place, call 01-2851890 or e-mail padraic@ouzos.ie.
