The wonderful, nay, exceptional cooking of Martijn Kajuiter, head chef at the Cliff House in Ardmore, Co Waterford, is celebrated in a handsome new book that he wrote while aided and abetted by Tom Doorley.
While many of the recipes are for serious cheffy types, I would recommend it for the dessert recipes alone: Ardmore Carrot Cake is one big, bold, buttery mouthful.
Kajuiter will be at Brown Thomas in Dublin today signing copies of the book from 2-4 pm. Failing that, save up for a weekend break at the Cliff House and don’t forget to vist Ardmore Pottery while you are passing.
