What do you do when you marry a man and then fall for his younger brother? This is the problem confronting Mélisande, the tragic heroine of Debussy's opera, Pelléas & Mélisande, starring Claire Booth, which opens in Dublin on Thursday.
With pianists Hugh Tinney and Mairead Hurley providing the score on two Steinway grand pianos in an abridged arrangement by Marius Constant, opera lovers can thrill at the train of disastrous events sparked by Mélisande's wayward heart in the stunning surrounds of the Rotunda at Dublin's City Hall. www.opera.ie
