Go Coco: Here's Keira Knightley in stylish super hero mode as a modern day Coco in the new Chanel mini film for the fragrance Coco Madamoiselle.
We meet her as she wakes in her sumptuous apartment, dons a beige suede jumpsuit (with perfectly matched helmet and boots, of course) and vrooms through the streets of Paris on her beige motorbike. Oh, the glamour of not giving a second thought to wearing beige suede so close to an oil stain possibility.
Her destination is a photo shoot for her new fragrance – cue smitten photographer and a lot of “oh la la” moments as the shots become more intimate and then – oh no, I won’t spoil it – just put your feet up and watch the whole delicious fantasy on chanel.com.
You’ll want to be her.

Who wouldn't want to look like the best possible version of themselves? This simple philosophy and understanding of real women's needs is the secret of Bobbi Brown's phenomenal success – her Make Up Manual(Headline Springboard, €30) is the next best thing to having Bobbi by your side. A couple of sessions with this book will have you smartening up your beauty routine in jig time. Whether you're a complete novice, or interested in the professional side of make-up, this book is a gem, with illustrated, step-by-step instructions on everything from applying foundation to the most dramatic smoky eye. The wide range of topics covered includes lifestyle and nutrition, which tools you really need, and matching shades to suit your colouring.
An essential piece of kit.
Brow power
The minimal, polished look depends on certain basics being in place and perfectly groomed brows are an absolute must. Here’s a great trick to make the most of them. Using an eyebrow brush (or an old mascara wand which you’ve washed clean), find the highest point of your brow and brush downwards towards your eye. You’ll see that it creates a little gap at the top which you can fill in with pencil or brow powder. Brush brows upwards again and voila – instant arch lift.
A hint of a tint
It’s lovely to be getting into tinted moisturiser time again – I love the healthy glow it brings. The finish is intended to be sheer, so don’t put away the concealer, which is still your best friend when it comes to evening out complexion. I try many, but always go back to Clarins Hydra Care Tinted Moisturiser (€31), which is a day cream with skin-boosting ingredients, combined with a veil of colour for that just-back-from-holidays look. The product has been recently updated, and has had a slight name change (Hydra Care became Hydraquench), and there is a welcome addition of three new shades.
