Could you write 300 informed, intelligent words about a gig, whether the act were Westlife, the Manic Street Preachers or Tina Turner? At short notice? We're looking to expand our panel of rock/pop reviewers, and if you think you might fit the bill, send us, by Monday, January 22nd, a review you have written of any music act, big or small, which you have seen since Christmas.

We'll send shortlisted writers out to another gig of our choice, and publish a page of the best reviews, paid for at the going rate. Write the name of the act and the venue at the top of the review, along with your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address if you have one. Reviews must be typewritten, be no more than 300 words in length, and be sent to The Arts Department, The Irish Times, 10-16 D'Olier Street, Dublin 2, marked "Rock/pop reviewing competition".
