How do you get to the gig – limo, taxi, walking?

Just depends, Mostly I just wake up on the bus and walk in.

What’s the best gig you’ve been to?

Recently? Van Halen – they were so good!

And the worst?

I try not to go see crap that doesn’t rule.

Ecologically speaking, are you closer to Radiohead or Mötorhead?

Mötorhead.

Who’s the most famous person to show up at one of your gigs?

Dee Snider.

Most embarrassing on-stage moment?

Probably playing Ohio twice in a set. We don’t use a setlist, so it was bound to happen.

What’s your crowd-pleasing number?

1985.

Chatting between songs: good or bad?

The band or the crowd? I think either way it is fine. We all need to keep it real!

Groupies – would you?

You mean, “have I?” Of course!

How many roadies does it take to change your lightbulbs (ie, how big is your entourage)?

All of my guys are very competent. Right now we have seven, but that includes an intern and a driver. That seems like a lot!

Have you a special stage wardrobe?

No . . . I just show up!

Any useful stage tips?

Don’t suck!

What’s the worst thing ever thrown at you?

A bottle of piss.

Kid Rock. I didn’t go – I was tired.
