An exhibition at the National Craft Gallery gives 21 of Ireland's top designers a chance to design a neckpiece that says something about Ireland today. The results are influenced from a diverse range of sources, including Bronze Age jewellery, the Tudors and nature. Open Tues–Sat 10am-5.30pm. See ccoi.ie

Edenderry: Theatre

Eugene O’ Brien’s play Eden opens in his hometown of Edenderry tonight for an extended summer run. The play is about the life of a couple in a midland’s town, and is directed by Ronan Wilmot. It runs Tuesday to Sunday at 8.30pm in Larkin’s Bar. Tickets €12. See larkinsbar.com
