WASHINGTON - The following is a list of the countries subject to US certification on their compliance with anti-drug trafficking efforts and the ratings they received yesterday.
Those decertified are: Afghanistan, Burma, Colombia, Iran, Nigeria, and Syria. Three more countries - Belize, Lebanon and Pakistan - were also decertified but sanctions were waived due to vital US national interests.
Twenty-three countries received full certification: they are Aruba, The Bahamas, Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, China, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Hong Kong, India, Jamaica, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Taiwan, Thailand, Venezuela, and Vietnam.
