Wayne Sleep, "the greatest virtuoso dancer the Royal Ballet ever produced", according to Dame Ninette de Valois, who should know, will be in TCD on Sunday to give a one-day workshop to the deprived balletomanes of Dublin. As well as interpreting ballet roles created for him by Kenneth MacMillan and Frederick Ashton, Sleep has made the leap (so to speak) into contemporary, tap and jazz forms. Ballet students, teachers and interested young people are invited to Luce Hall, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Further information from promoter Julian Benson, who is planning a series of similar dance workshops around the country, at 01-676 4377/676 4378.
