Phil Spector's wife has said that he has been contacted in prison by Charles Manson, who wants to collaborate.

Rachelle said Manson called her husband "the greatest producer that ever lived", but he had not responded to the "creepy" invitation. Spector's publicist said, "Phil's like, 'I used to pick up the phone and it was John Lennon or Celine Dion or Tina Turner, and now Charles Manson is trying to get a hold of me!' "
