The Film Institute of Ireland, in association with The Irish Times, is delighted to bring Edward Scissorhands to the big screen, where its striking visual style and use of colour can be best appreciated.

Showing with Edward Scissorhands will be the appropriate short film Vincent (1983), Tim Burton's first film - a five-minute animation about a boy who is obsessed with actor Vincent Price.

A series of screenings aimed at young people, costing £1.50 per person, are as follows:

Dublin: October 6th, 7th and 8th, 10.30 a.m., Irish Film Centre - The first two screenings are nearly booked out, but the screening on Thursday the 8th is a new one aimed especially at media scope readers. Contact FII education department for booking (tel: (01) 679 5744).
