DENIS Drum held a successful auction at Auburn House in Malahide last week, where the top selling lot was a Regency inlaid rosewood fold over card table, which sold for £3,800. A still life of fruit and flowers by Maria Margitson also made £3,800; £3,000 was paid for a carved wood and gilt overmantel mirror and a French console table and mirror fetched £2,200. A hunting scene in oils by John Cecil Broult sold for £2,000 and a pastoral landscape by John Faulkner made £1,500.
