Relatives and neighbours of a woman arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act staged a protest outside Pearse Street Garda station in Dublin yesterday.
The protesters were demanding the release of the mother of three, who chairs a tenants' committee in Charlemont Street flats in central Dublin which has been campaigning against drug abuse.
The protesters held banners stating "Release our mother" and "Arrest drug pushers, not concerned parents".
They said that they intended to continue the protest until the woman was released.
